Cosmetics production certifications

The EC Regulation n. 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 November 2009 provides, to guarantee the safety of cosmetics placed on the market, that the products are manufactured in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP - Good Manufacturing Practices) .

The ISO 22716 is the first international document that establishes the principles for the application of Good Manufacturing Practices in companies that produce cosmetic products and is the harmonized standard for the application of the provisions of article 8 of Regulation no. 1223/2009.

ISO 22716 standard applies to the production, control, conservation and shipping processes of cosmetic products.
